Fort Wadsworth, Gateway National Park
The location of the headquarters for Sector NY AOR, Fort Wadsworth is part of the Gateway National Park. The fort has a rich history dating back to the Revolution and there are many attractions and park programs for all members of the family.
At historic Fort Wadsworth, a Visitor Center is open Saturday - Sunday from 9 AM - 5 PM. Tours of Fort Tompkins are given Saturday - Sunday at 2:00 PM. Special evening Lantern Tours, Civil War period reenactments and other events are also held. Call 718-354-4500 for details and reservations.
Exhibits on the history of Miller Field are on display at Building 26 and is open Wednesday- Friday from 10:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. & Saturday & Sunday from 9:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
