SCUBA REVIEW / REFRESHER COURSE

The PADI Scuba Review Course Are you a Certified Diver who hasn’t had the chance to go diving recently? Do you want to go diving again but feel like your scuba skills and knowledge are a bit rusty? The Scuba Review Tune-up is just the refresher you need. It reacquaints you with diving so that you’re back to feeling comfortable in the underwater world. The Fun Part Brush up on your scuba knowledge and skills. Improve your diving ability, and get your scuba gear ready for your next diving adventure.
The Scuba Review/Refresher course includes:
Self-paced study via the PADI Scuba Tune Up Guidebook. This book is included with the course fee and contains quizzes and reading material to refresh your memory on dive theory and safe diving practices. Classroom session. You and your Divemaster will go over the material in the Scuba Tune Up Guidebook to ensure that you are up-to-date on dive theory. You will be reintroduced to dive gear and you will practice assembling the dive equipment you will need for the a pool session. Pool practice/training. You will practice a variety of diving skills in a pool session under the direct supervision of a Divemaster
Divemaster Fee: $75 This covers the cost of the classroom time and the instructor fee. The PADI Scuba Tune Up Guidebook is required and is available for purchase at the ODR office. (Approximate Price $20). SCUBA equipment is also available for rent at the MWR Outdoor Recreation office. Additional fees for Pool Access may apply.
Pre-requisites: You must be a certified Open Water diver (proof of prior certification from a recognized dive agency is required). Complete PADI Certified Diver Experience Programs Liability and Assumption of Risk Form. Complete PADI Medical Statement Form. (Note: Should you answer any medical question with a “YES” you will need a physicians signature on the form indicating that you are fit to dive. Sorry, we will not be able to allow you in the water until all forms are completed.) Schedule. This course is typically completed in a one day session and conducted as private training, either 1-on-1 or for your small group. So, let us know when you’d like to do it and we’ll set you up.

A program designed for beginner basketball players. This fun program focuses on skill instruction and development rather than the actual playing of games. While the focus is on skill development, there is special emphasis is on fitness and fun. Competitive drills are designed to make learning the skills enjoyable and competitive. The result? Children have a great skill development which in turn allows them to become better basketball payers. Join us for the fun! Program begins in early November following the soccer program however, due to the installation of a new gym floor, this year the program will begin in late December or early January. Watch for registration forms.

A command oriented basketball tournament held the last week of October. The single elimination tournament is limited to 10 teams on a first come-first serve basis. The tournament is currently delayed as the gym floor is repaired. Watch for seasonal programs during the winter.

Join your shipmates as you have a fun and enjoyable workout on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 11:30 to 12:30. No experience is necessary, just come out and have some fun!
Intersted in some hoop time? For some pickup basketball fun and fitness, players get together on Mondays and Wednesdays starting at 3:30 and play continues into the evening. Whether you come for just one game or for the entire evening, stop by and have some fun!
