Location: Fort Wadsworth Guest Quarters is located on historical Fort Wadsworth, Staten Island, New York. The Fort is home to USCG Sector New York. Staten Island, a borough of New York City, is just a short scenic ferry ride from Manhattan, the heart of New York City. Easy access from the Newark Airport or interstate I-95 in New Jersey.
Season of Operation: Year round.
Description: The dwelling is a former family-housing unit, comprised of a two and three bedroom apartment.
Facilities: Coast Guard Exchange, Gateway National Park Visitors Center with tours of the Fort, Sector NY Fitness Center and Gymnasium are available on Fort Wadsworth.
Activities: The Staten Island Ferry, with available parking, is a 10-minute drive from the Fort. The ferry will take you to downtown Manhattan. Visit New York City and its world-famous attractions: Rockefeller Center, Radio City, the Empire State Building, the World Trade Center Site, the Statue of Liberty/Ellis Island, the United Nations, Broadway, Central Park, Times Square, and some of the most famous stores in the world on 5th Avenue. A large selection of museums includes the Intrepid Museum, the Metropolitan Museum, the Guggenheim Museum, the American Museum of Natural History and more! Other attractions include Yankee Stadium, Citi Field, Madison Square Garden - home of the Knicks and Rangers, the Meadowlands, Lincoln Center – home of Avery Fisher Hall, Metropolitan Opera and NY Ballet, and Carnegie Hall.
Recreation Equipment Available: Sector NY Fitness Center and Gymnasium.
General Information: Each unit is fully furnished with cable TV, private bath, a fully equipped kitchen and telephone. Parking is shared with the Navy Lodge. Amenities include: fully equipped kitchen (dishes, pots, pans, microwave, stove, refrigerator and coffee maker), dining table, air conditioning, clock radio, hair dryer, iron and ironing board, and backyard deck with grill. Restaurants, food stores, and shopping centers are nearby. Both units are non-smoking and pets are not allowed.
Eligibility: Coast Guard Recreational Lodging facilities are open to all authorized MWR patrons. Active duty military members and their family have first priority. A complete list of authorized patrons is contained in the Coast Guard MWR Manual, COMDTINST M1710.13 (series). All information you seek concerning a particular lodging facility may not be posted in this guide and it is therefore recommended that you ask for additional information when making reservations.
Reservations: Required. At these prices and value, our units do book quickly. Reservations can be made a year in advance. Full payment must accompany reservation requests and there is a cancellation fee. Credit cards are accepted (Master Card, Visa and AMEX).

Transportation: Easiest access from Newark Airport, NJ or Interstate I-95, NJ.
Driving Instructions: Take exit 13 off the NJ Turnpike (I-95) to Gothels Bridge. Take Staten Island Expressway (I-278) to exit 15, Lilly Pond Ave./Bay Street (last exit before bridge). Left at end of ramp and follow Lilly Pond Ave. to next light (Bay Street). Turn right. Entrance to the Fort is ¼ mile.
